Jim (or James) is currently on secondment to Travelers HQ in the US, where professional indemnity insurance is known as ‘E&O’ insurance (Errors and Omissions).
He is an expert in professional indemnity insurance for the UK legal sector.
Working with the Travelers in-house team of 20 solicitors, over many years, he has intimate knowledge of where the risks are greatest, how to minimise these risks, and how to price Travelers’ PI insurance products in a competitive market.
Like Paul Hudson, Jim has been involved in supporting the LawFirmAmbition website for law firms from the concept stage. Jim knows how difficult it is dispense faultless legal advice day after day while simultaneously finding the time to run the firm (or chamber). The smaller the firm, the greater the burden on just one or two people’s shoulders.
He hopes that this website will go some way to making life easier for law firms.
Jim’s full job title is 'E&O portfolio management lead at Travelers Bond & Specialty'.
See the Travelers website for topical articles on issues affecting law firms.
